While many people debate on the real date of Christmas, I ponder on the real meaning of it. So if Jesus was not born on December 25, does it make any difference? He was born, I think that the most important thing.
And while many of us are so busy thinking about what to give to family and friends, I now think of the real purpose of this celebration.
I grew up thinking about Christmas as a season of giving out presents and reconnecting to other people. But now, I learned that the real Christmas is not about the baby Jesus on the manger but the man on the cross.
OOHh and I remember Santa Claus! hahaha! I used to write to him when I was little. Now I do not pay attention to him. Though he is a good example of generosity, I do not like the idea of him (kind of…though not directly) stealing the limelight. Christmas is about Jesus… never about Santa! haha.
Yes! Christmas celebration is the birth of Jesus but what happened after that day? After 30 years, he died on the cross… to save us from our sins.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. -Luke 19:10
Jesus did a “search and rescue operation” here. And I am overwhelmed with joy that he found me. Now I am going to celebrate with a grateful heart… not because of the gifts that I have received and will receive in the coming days but because of the Lord. His gift of eternal life. I can say CHRISTmas saved my life.

Give to us clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for - because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.
